Our Projects

WEEKLY TUTORING
For over 5 years, our team has facilitated weekly educational classes in English and Maths for students from Grades 1 to 9.
In addition, we organize workshops in theatre, art, sports, human rights, among others, to ensure holistic growth of the children we work with.

EARLY CHILDHOOD
In 2017, Ray of Hope built the first-ever Day Care Centre at Gamodubu Village. The project was expanded and completed in 2019 with the support of Debswana Botswana.
We currently run weekly play-and-learn classes for toddlers in the center and are working towards formally registering the the center as a pre-school.

VOLUNTEER TRAINING
On a monthly basis, our volunteers receive training in sustainable teaching methods, social impact thinking, and Setswana language, among others classes, led by educators, NGO leaders and artist groups in Botswana.
This training challenges our volunteers to reimagine and redesign their existing projects creatively and sustainably.

SOCIAL ENTERPRISE
In 2018, we piloted a women-empowerment social enterprise, Hope for Her, which aims at making women in Gamodubu self- sufficient and financially independent.
Over the course of one year, Hope for Her, produced and sold over 200 jewelry pieces, both locally and internationally.
covid-19 response
Due to COVID-19, we currently unable to run our activities physically, but we continue to support the Gamodubu community in every way we can.
We have initiated a hygiene awareness campaign and are in the process of developing an e-learning program for over 50 children. Kindly contact us if you would like to support us in these challenging times.
